La Punta is a cosmopolitan neighborhood, attracting travelers from all over the world. Just steps from the house, on the way to the beach, you’ll find organic restaurants, gourmet cafés, and a relaxed, natural atmosphere that defines the spirit of the area.

I dare say it's one of the best places in Puerto, super accessible to the beach, restaurants, bars, and events in the heart of Punta de Zicatela. Sebastián is a fantastic host; he connects with all his guests and makes you feel right at home! 100% recommended. PS: Don't leave Puerto without taking a skimboarding and surfing lesson with Sebas!

There is a sense of calm that only can be found at Casa Madre Selva. Sebastian, Sofi, and their dog Xila always make me feel welcome. It’s a dreamy, happy place to be and a place I always look forward to returning to. Tucked away from the business but still walking distance to restaurants, stores and beaches, it really can’t get any better. So many memories have been made here.

Casa Madre Selva was a home away from home in the heart of a beach paradise! I spent just over two weeks exploring this magical place! Despite the lively atmosphere of La Punta, Madre Selva offers a peaceful environment. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The property boasts several relaxing spaces, from the swimming pool to the cozy seating area. The other guests were super friendly and have become friends of mine during my stay. I can’t say enough about this place, I will be back here every year :)

This stay felt like home! The rooms are spacious and clean with lots of beautiful decorations native to the land of Oaxaca, really enjoyed having a pool right outside my door, and being steps away from the Ocean made it even better. Sebas is the friendliest host—you don’t just feel welcomed, you feel like family. A truly authentic experience of a small surf town full of character and history.
